For a brief moment, I was the theatre teacher at Buckman Elementary, an arts-focused school in the Portland Public School System. I was hired at the beginning of 2020 and by March, we were scrambling to learn about distance learning. Each week I put out a short video for the K-5 school, I focused on different styles of theatre and included history, examples and exercises, here are a few of my favorite lessons. As the weeks progressed, I learned how to turn my basement office into a video production studio.
